Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 4 will be coming to Steam later this month. Specifically, the game will be available on Steam on October 17. Yay! Not much longer.
This date is likely not a coincidence. Season 2: Season of Blood for Diablo 4 will also start on October 17. It is also the last day before the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard is finalized.
Activision Blizzard has long tried to primarily distribute its own games through Blizzard’s platform, Battle.net, but recently, they have been shifting away from that strategy. Steam seems too big to ignore.
