Do you believe in destiny?

Things between the Lady and I are really hotting up. We’ve been spending more and more time together and are both coming to realise the depth of our feelings for each other. It makes me wonder why I didn’t act on the feelings I had earlier. You see, this girl and I have a history stretching back five years. Being with her now reminds me of how great it was before. Circumstances drove us apart in the past but they seem to be bringing us together again. Both single, both attracted to the other, both looking for someone special to help heal the hurt from mistakes made in the past. I’ve never been a believer in fate, but it seems too right between us to be anything but destiny.

We were out last night, just the two of us, and we have so much in common, so much to say to each other. It’s so very natural being with her. Is it love? I don’t know. Part of me knows that we have only been back together for a few weeks, since I ended my last relationship (which, as an aside, had nothing to do with this thing I have now). Another part of me knows that I have always wanted her. Always, since the first time I saw her many years ago. Life goes on and we drifted apart. We each moved in with someone else, tried different things in life, but coming together like this and feeling such a connection…

I don’t know, dear readers, but maybe being together is our destiny.

  1. If you feel *that* strongly about the relationship, it definitely is something special. Go for it 😉

  2. I don’t actually believe in destiny, though I do believe in God. I believe that you have your own choices in life, and in the end your choices add up. It’s not a matter of our lives being planned out for us, and so everyone’s destiny is in his/her own hands.
An example would be what if we all decided to sit around and not work for anything in life. Would our destiny still be the same? No, it’s our choices that make us what we are, and what we will become.
